Kristen Kelso

Songs for my Grandfather is an ongoing performance and research project stemming from the life and music of my late grandpa, David Franklin Hamilton (1933-2019). Rooted in personal narratives, this work sifts through various archives, examines the fragmented parts of life, and focuses on the things we leave behind.

The project currently consists of a solo performance in-development, documentary-style interviews, and a series of creative writings. Research and development will continue with MOtiVE in 2022.
